The "island" at the junction of Glendevon Park and Balgreen Road has been planted with a couple of trees, a couple of signs, and some maintained grass. Utility chalkmarks have already appeared on the newly laid pavement though.
Previously:
[10-10-2-25] Phased improvements to road surfaces, crossings and drainage are due to start and last until March 2026. A key to the map of phases and details can be found in this PDF file.
[18-01-2026] Hopes have been raised that the works will include re-fencing the "garden" triangle at the junction of Balgreen Road and Glendevon Park, as part of upgrades to road surfaces, crossings and drainage in the area (see below). Parking on this patch during Murrayfield and Hive Stadium events has annoyed neighbours. There was once a fence. Now there are double yellow lines along one side, and a clear pavement. But it is hoped that a fence will once again protect the area.
