The Community Council has been asked to respond to some informal questions about the City of Edinburgh Council's "environmental services", which are due for a policy review. That means:
litter bins (incl. where they are, incl. in parks)
kerbside recycling (incl. knowing the range of things that can be recycled)
food recycling (incl. how to increase the number of people who do it)
special uplifts for bulky waste (incl. knowing what it costs and what the alternatives are)
kerbside recycling bin replacements
household waste recycling centres (incl. new kinds of things that they could handle)
weed control (incl. the extent to which it is working)
communication about any of this (incl. how best to reach people)
If you have any thoughts about any of this, please let us know by 15 November. You can get in touch with this range of contact options.
