Latest:
Currently closed, until March 2026 according to the sign on the path. The signed diversion is through Westfield, though the previous diversion via Baird Drive and Balgreen Road seems likely to be just as convenient. An explanation of these works can found on Scottish Water's website here.
Previously:
[07-02-2025] The Water of Leith Walkway was closed, for gas diversion and water works, between the Baird Drive bridge and Pansy Walk. The diversion was via Baird Drive and Balgreen Road. The duration of the works was uncertain. There had been some indication that the closure might stretch until November.
[12-08-2025] This section of walkway reopened and we received no word of further closures. However Scottish Water were due to start works and it might close again in the coming weeks.
