Congratulations to Saughtonhall Community Association (SCA) who have secured £100,000 from City of Edinburgh Council to upgrade its hall, which is a much used and much loved venue. The new features will improve access for all. There will be new accessible entrance and ramp, accessible WC, larger toilet and kitchen facilities. You can view the plans on the City of Edinburgh Council planning portal here. Contracts have been signed and the funds must be used by the 30 September this year.
This is a great success for SCA and a bitter-sweet moment for Murrayfield Community Council. Our fellow Community Councillor and Treasurer, Jim McDonaugh, helped to secure these funds. He passed away last week.
