Edited version of Scottish Rugby's information about games on 18 April and 9 & 10 May as follows:

There are two women's international home games in April and May in the 2026 Guinness Six Nations, the dates and times for which are here:

  • Saturday 18 April – Scotland v England

  • Saturday 9 May – Scotland v France

Saturday 18 April

We have a double header with Scotland U21 vs England U21 playing at Hive Stadium (kick-off 11am) followed by Scotland v England in the main stadium (kick-off 1:30pm). It is expected that more than 25,000 fans will be in attendance for the latter game - the largest standalone women’s sporting event in Scottish history.

  • Scotland v England, kick-off 1:30pm

  • Entertainment Rehearsals begin at 9am.

  • Gates open from 11:30am - Music in the North, South, East and West until kick-off.

  • All external events will be concluded by 5pm.

*Note that pre-kick-off, there will be in-bowl music and pyrotechnics before the teams take to the pitch

Saturday 9 May

The day will begin with the Women’s National Bowl (kick-off 1:30pm) before Scotland Women v France in Hive Stadium (kick-off 4:15pm)

  • Scotland v France, kick-off 4:15pm

  • Entertainment rehearsals begin at 12noon.

  • Gates open from 2:15pm.

  • All entertainment will end at full time, and this is also the closing time of our hospitality suites.

*Note that pre-kick-off, there will be in-bowl music and pyrotechnics before the teams take to the pitch.

Sunday 10 May

Scotland U21 v Italy U21 (kick-off 1pm) at Hive Stadium.

We anticipate only smaller crowds for both the Bowl Final and our U21s’ fixtures, during which entertainment will be restricted to PA announcements and background music.

Road closures

You can access a link for the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) - only in place for the England fixture, given the expected attendance. [It can be downloaded here.]

None of the road closures impact an emergency situation being attended to – if you experience an emergency on match day and need access to a closed road (emergency only) please approach the nearest steward, traffic management official or police officer at the road closure or contact 999. 

Bus Diversion

Buses will be subject to diversions in the Murrayfield area after the match. Diversion information – when available – will be published on the Lothian Buses Service Updates page: https://www.lothianbuses.com/service-updates/

Contacting Scottish Rugby on match days

As trialled during the Guinness Six Nations and concert season, our feedback form gives you a direct opportunity to contact those in the stadium’s command post so that we can act if appropriate.

The feedback form will be live on matchdays from 11:30am (England) and 2pm (France) and you can access it here:

The residents’ hotline will also be operational on game day, two hours before kick-off and two hours after full-time. This number is 0131 346 5225.

[03-05-2026] There are two Six Nations matches this year, on 14 February and 7 March 2026. Road closures, parking restrictions, bus updates and on-the-day contact details are all below.

According to Scottish Rugby, game-day timings and contact details are as follows:

Saturday 14 February – Scotland v England

  • Entertainment Rehearsals begin at 11:30am

  • Gates open from 1:40pm - Music in the North, South, East and West until kick-off. We will also show the Ireland v Italy game on our big screens (North & West). This game kicks off at 2:10pm.

  • Scotland v England Kick-off: 4.40pm

  • After the game, we have a music performance on the Vodafone Stage in the west until 7:30pm.

  • All external events will be concluded by 8pm, with the final hospitality suite closing at 8:40pm.

  • Note that pre-kick-off, there will be in-bowl music and pyrotechnics before the teams take to the pitch

Saturday 7 March – Scotland v France

  • Gates open from 11:10am - Music in the North, South, East and West until kick-off, including live musical performance on the Vodafone Stage (West).

  • Scotland v France Kick-off: 2:10pm

  • After the game, we will be screening the Italy v England game on our big screens (North & West). This game kicks off at 4:40pm with full time expected c.6:40pm. All entertainment will end at full time and this is also the closing time of our hospitality suites.

  • Note that pre-kick-off, there will be in-bowl music and pyrotechnics before the teams take to the pitch.

[09-02-2026] Bus diversions for 14 February are published here: https://www.lothianbuses.com/service-updates/ (under Planned Diversions if looking before the day). Notices currently at bus stops (see photograph below) refer to alternative stops (such as on Ravelston Dykes).

[01-01-2026] Scottish Rugby are organising a residents meeting on 3 February 4pm at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium - Centenary Club. If you wish to attend please let them know by emailing residents@sru.org.uk by Tuesday 27 January.
